I am BACK! If you weren’t aware, I was out of the office for 10 days touring around the Southwest with my family, mainly Arizona and Utah. I hope you were able to catch a few of my photos on Facebook or Instagram. Internet service was limited out in the middle of nowhere so I tried my best to stay on top of it. I appreciate those who were patient with me while I was gone! My family also enjoyed me not working. I also want to give credit to my incredible family for being so amazing. This trip should probably be 12-14+ days but vacation time is limited and I wanted to pack in as much as I could.

I am not sure where to start but oh my goodness it was beautiful! While Kyle and I had been to the Grand Canyon and driven though a good part of the southwest, this trip brought us such a greater appreciation. It’s hard to wrap your head around the way the land was formed out there but it’s something much grander in person. Every trip we go on we keep saying, I think this was our best trip. A combination of the kids getting a little older and me having better resources to figure out what to see and do, I would definitely rate it as the #1 National Park adventure trip of all time.

I could write a newsletter on each location we visited, it was so action packed. I asked my kids for a little help, they are the best critics. They also had a hard time narrowing down each topic, but here we go:

Another tie between Grand Canyon's massive size and the Arches because it reminded them of rainbows in the desert.

Favorite FAct they learned

Mackenzie-“How long ago the land was created and that Canyonlands still has so much salt.”
Hailey-“What kind of animals live in each park. I liked finding different lizards. AND finding real dinosaur bones and shell fossils.”

Favorite National Park

They claimed this was too hard to answer and I showed them nothing is too hard!

I didn’t ask this question, but they told me what they wanted to do when they return…
Do the complete hike though the Narrows
Hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon
Take a multi-day trip rafting down the Colorado.
They have big dreams and I love it!

If you have any interest in visiting one of these places and want more details, feel free to reach out to me. I would love to share, recommend and/or plan your next vacation to the southwest!

Fun Facts
Flew 4,160 miles, 2013 pictures taken (on just my phone), drove 1600 miles, stayed for 10 days, visited 6 National Parks, Slept in 5 hotels, went to 5 states and I would do it all over again!

You come to Utah to see; you leave with new eyes.  You see vistas like nowhere else on the planet…The result your emotions are stirred, your senses are lifted. You soar. Your spirits rise. Your life is changed. You are elevated.
